What you’ll be doing...

The Frontline Experience Technical Team is searching for a Senior Engineer - Application Development. The Engineer will work as a developer in the Search team. The role requires good working relationships with multiple stakeholders for multiple parallel projects: other GTS teams, business partners and management.

• Follows search area Subject Matter Expert (SME) guidance.
• Follows industry trends in the Search and Store Locator areas and provide recommendations for future enhancements.
• Performs analysis, writes program specifications and develops designs for medium to large size projects.
• Leads small-to-medium-sized projects, performs project management activities such as planning, sizing, configuration and scheduling activities.
• Develops solutions and makes decisions that impact success of projects.
• Coordinate development activities across multiple organizations, ensure timely delivery of modules to business with good quality and report project status to upper management.
• Monitor applications resolve any problems as well as work to proactively prevent problems from occurring.
• Perform systems’ capacity monitoring and planning.

Where you’ll be working:

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience implementing search solutions with technologies such as Lucidworks Fusion/Solr, SOLR, and/or Lucene.
• Experience supporting Fusion or Solr based database - implementing new data ingestion pipeline, optimized query pipeline, adding new objects into Fusion utilizing in depth knowledge of Fusion.
• Experience building enterprise applications on a cloud service such as AWS.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• A degree.
• Build the design in solr to improve the search performance.
• Experience with search algorithms dealing large data sets.
• Practical knowledge and application of machine learning and deep learning techniques.
• Practical knowledge of search engine and recommendation systems.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum frameworks.
