What you will do

This role is responsible for coordinating all events and tours at 1941 Stryker Way. This includes internal employee events, cross-divisional events, public and private tours, and supporting the IEC in offsite customer event needs. In addition, this role will manage the local event planning process, guidelines, and enforcement.

  • Oversee the building event planning process and facilitate the sharing of information between onsite event leads and internal Stryker teams such as Facilities, the Instruments Experience Center, IS and Security.
  • Develop and execute local employee engagement events and activities (20+ annually), for example Bring Your Family Work Day, Monthly Divisional Mixers, Engagement Week, the United Way Campaign, staying within budget and expected time frames.
  • Coordinate the tour process including scheduling of tour guides, tracking of attendees, training updates, needed materials, and security and building access.
  • Act as a building liaison for external (non-Stryker inquiries) and public Stryker-hosted events.
  • Manage the administration for all onsite events at 1941 Stryker Way ensuring event guidelines and etiquette are followed.
  • Support the Instruments Experience Lab with local offsite need such as dinners and transportation, as part of the Customer Concierge Program
  • Support the Offsite Meetings & Events team with sourcing of hotels, venues, and activities as well as other administrative duties such as event material creation and expense reconciliation.
  • Provide high quality, effective onsite support for other divisional meetings and events, such as the National Sales Meeting, Mid-Year Meetings and Annual Local Awards Programs.
  • Act in the best interest of Stryker, reflecting the values of teamwork, collaboration, and mutual respect.

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 0+ years of work experience required
  • Communications, event planning or marketing experience is beneficial/preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills, including ability to tailor communication style to audience
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent grammar, copywriting, proofreading, and editing skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and adapt quickly to change
  • Expertise in SharePoint 365, MS Office, Zoom, Teams preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other divisions, business units and functions.
  • Ability to present and speak comfortably in front of others
