What you’ll be doing...

As a wireless Construction Engineer, you enjoy managing complex, small to medium-scale projects impacting a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external.

  • Providing project management for various construction activities related to network site additions, antenna modifications, and baseband upgrade projects.
  • Assisting with completing project scoping to determine what materials are needed for each project, then ordering materials and ensuring that materials are delivered to GCs in alignment with the construction schedule.
  • Providing complete ownership of project financials, from initial proposal/bid through receipt of final product or service including project budget funding, adherence to budget spending, creation & tracking of purchase orders, and inspecting work performed by contractors.
  • Assisting with providing guidance for site surveys and engineering to ensure cell site upgrade projects account for civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical feasibility.
  • Reviewing site survey reports with a focus on measurements, power readings, HVAC assessments, photos, drawings, issues, and recommendations for upgrade projects.
  • Assistingwith equipment forecasting by working with various members of the team, and compiling data into measurable allocation and timelines.

You have excellent communication and team building skills enable you to negotiate with internal and external partners to ensure nothing gets in the way of success. You thrive in a fast-paced, high demand environment, making effective decisions quickly, and juggling competing priorities with ease.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degreein Engineering (Electrical, Communications, Computer Science)
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master’s degree or two or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong ability to manage changing priorities, competing priorities, and situations in which guidelines can change.
  • Ability to provide accurate, timely, and concise communications; express and explain issues clearly; update project trackers daily; e-mail and call project members frequently.
  • Time management and communications skills.
  • Ability to learn new processes and technologies.
  • Ability to adapt to different settings and investigate/implement alternate approaches to resolve problems with minimum management input.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve complex issues and develop solutions while weighing the risk of the solution.
  • Knowledge related to wireless and telecommunications.
