Eaton Mission Systems is seeking a skilled Facilities Supervisor. This position is based out of our Davenport, IA facility.

Position Overview:

The facilities supervisor will directly supervise a team of craftsman, technicians, and contractors who repair, maintain, and calibrate equipment and buildings to achieve facility goals. This includes selection, hiring, and training of new employees, as well as overseeing day-to-day workflow. They will also schedule and providing positive feedback and discipline to current employees.

In this function you will:

  • Purchase repair parts and materials to support maintenance department objectives.
  • Oversee work order system and maintain department metrics.
  • Manage PM (preventive maintenance) program to minimize equipment downtime and maintain performance.
  • Coordinate tasks and projects among several shifts.
  • Assist with implementation of capital improvement projects.
  • Facilitates transformation to a Lean environment.
  • Administers labor contract and suggests changes as required for CBA negotiations.
  • Schedules overtime as required.
  • Provides guidance and keeps employees informed of policies and operational changes.
  • Identifies and implements continuous productivity and quality improvements.
  • Meets goals and objectives including, but not limited to budgets and productivity.
  • Performs all operations according to prescribed safety and environmental principles.
  • Actively promote and enforce adherence to S|H|E rules and procedures.
  • Promote and facilitate incident and near miss reporting.
  • All other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of supervisory/management and 4+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, commercial, or aerospace environment OR Associates degree and 3+ years of supervisory/management experience and 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, commercial, or aerospace environment OR Highschool Diploma/GED and 7+ years of supervisor/management experience and 7+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, commercial, or aerospace environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which may be subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Davenport, IA will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience in a union environment
  • Basic knowledge of on-line purchasing, credit card reconciliation, and record keeping
  • Proven experience with PM programs
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement programs
