Facility Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
Amentum, an onsite contractor for Progress Rail, a Caterpillar Company, has a great entry level job for you! This position is working 7PM-7AM on a 2/2/3 schedule learning the art of industrial maintenance in Winston Salem off of Union Cross Rd. This is the perfect beginning to a long and fulfilling career in industrial maintenance.
You bring basic electrical/mechanical skills and we will teach you:
- Preventive maintenance on production machines and equipment.
- Preventive maintenance of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Lubrication of equipment.
- Inspecting and cleaning of production equipment.
- Maintenance inspections.
- Lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, sump cleanout, etc.
- Lockout/tagout + other safety procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
- Must have the ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
- Basic electrical and mechanical skills.
- Experience reading prints/drawings.
- Experience using hand tools (tape measure, level, drill).
- Must be able to lift up to 50LBS.
- Ability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, stretching, pulling and pushing.
- Ability to work in enclosed spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates degree or trade school certification in Industrial, Electrical, or HVAC.
- Some experience with oil/lubrication of production equipment.
