2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 3pm until 11pm
Training will be conducted on 1st shift (7 am until 3 PM) for approximately 4 weeks.

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Uses cleaning equipment such as brooms, mops, vacuums, floor scrubbers, etc., to clean all areas of manufacturing, offices, bathrooms, exercise rooms, conference rooms, cafeteria, warehouse and all common areas.
  • Helps in moving or rearranging of office furniture, conference rooms and cafeteria.
  • Performs grounds maintenance such as litter pick up, ball field maintenance and watering of grass, flowers and garden.
  • Helps with snow removal from sidewalks, emergency exits and loading docks.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, floor drains, QA cabinets/ noise dampers/ chambers, etc.
  • Removal of trash from all areas and put in trash compactor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Team Work: Cooperative with all departments and associates.
  • Initiative: Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding the cleaning and maintenance process.
  • Identifying and prioritizing areas to be cleaned.
  • Capable of using cleaning equipment and associated chemicals.
  • Capable of following Blood Borne Pathogen and Hazardous-Material clean-up as required.
  • Writing skills: Filling out daily tasks work sheets and Preventative Maintenance work sheets.
  • Verbal communication skills need to be clear, concise and thorough.
  • Experience: The average person with the knowledge listed above is expected to learn to perform the functions of the job at a fully functioning level of proficiency within 3 to 12 months.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting salt bags 50 lbs. to fill salt spreader.
  • Boxes 25 to 50 lbs. lifted no more than 4 feet up and carried no more than 6 feet away.
  • Lifting and dumping of mop buckets. Dumping of trash cans and dumpsters.
  • Climbing ladders. Lifting tables and chairs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • H.S Diploma/GED
  • Manufacturing Experience or 1-year related work experience
