Position Summary

  • Engages as a dynamic team leader and trusted advisor to the US/WW VAP Oncology and Hematology leads and their respective teams responsible for the Oncology and Hematology VAP portfolio, leading BIA Customer & Market Insights partnership.
  • Embeds customer & market insights into business decision making for US and WW VAP – both commercialized and LCM Oncology and Hematology assets Coaches and develops a team of Customer & Market Insights professionals to develop and execute appropriate primary research solutions and deliver insights to drive improved decision-making for competitive advantage in access and pricing, across US and Key Global markets, and across lifecycle stages. Partners collaboratively with brand customer insights teams and VAP analytics to deliver integrated value of insights with analytics and engage with executive stakeholders on the key business questions to inform access & pricing strategy, DEX and GT development milestones for the BMS Oncology and Hematology portfolio.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develops VAP Market Research plans and budgets aligned to business needs through collaboration with VAP stakeholders and other CMI team members.
  • Proactively partners to identify knowledge gaps/needs, shape and properly define research questions to address business issues. Applies best-in-class, innovative, and appropriate methodologies to address key questions, and leads the team when developing research solutions to address complex, strategic business issues and multi-faceted tactical plans. Ensures customer & market insights are effectively and efficiently communicated through application of effective storytelling techniques. Translates insights into actionable recommendations and facilitates action through workshops with Access marketing teams and executive leadership engagement, including identifying opportunities and risks, and creating scenario plans.
  • Provides integrated, strategic perspectives and guidance to executive-level business stakeholders in close collaboration with other members of the BI&A therapeutic teams, demonstrating strong understanding of the US and Global Access landscape, strong business acumen and proactively sharing learnings and facilitating use of best practices.
  • Creates a strong environment for teamwork and collaboration, capable of adapting to the dynamic needs of the business, both within Customer & Market Insights and with the broader BI&A organization.
  • Leads team with a significant degree of independence, and empowers decision making to the right level. Consistently develops people through coaching, rewards and recognition, and providing developmental opportunities across BI&A.
  • Actively eliminates low value activities, and continuously reevaluates the prioritization and focus of the teams to drive the business forward on highest priorities, while creating synergies and eliminating duplication.
  • Ensures that research is conducted with the highest degree of integrity, in compliance with appropriate policies and SOPs, and that learnings are shared broadly and archived effectively for future reference.

Requirements

  • Degree: BA/BS in relevant functional discipline required; MBA or MS/MA preferred
  • 8+ years relevant work experience including, strong understanding of US and ex US Access and pricing landscape, prior Access and pricing Market Research and analytics experience, Pharmaceutical and/or consulting experience preferred;
  • Strong team leadership & talent development experience
  • Proven effectiveness in working in Worldwide organization with a complex matrix of stakeholders and markets
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills delivered with polished, strategic, executive-level presence
  • Proven ability to innovate and operate with agility and speed
