Leidos’ SDA Operation, in conjunction with the TSA, also performs on-call, onsite installation servicing of X- Ray Detection Equipment using leading edge technology to ensure the safety of our clients, customer and passengers.
The Security Detection and Automation Operation is comprised of four divisions to align with our customers’ missions and needs:
The Service Operations team is responsible for communication and coordination with various functional groups within and outside of the Service organization, such as Technical Support, Training, Field Service, and the PMO. The Service Operation Manager will oversee the various Service Operations team’s functions, which include onboarding, dispatching and scheduling of field service technicians; along with field service managers, ensure field service technicians are onboarded and equipped to begin performing their job duties; and directly supervise both Service Operations Coordinators and the Product Support Call Center.
Primary Responsibilities
Supervise and the manage the TSA Contract Vetting eQuip process / deliverables such as SSI, PII, and NDA’s
Track field service technical training certifications
Maintain field service tools and equipment inventory / tracking
Manage and track the field service spare parts issued to technicians
Provide field service orientation
Coordinate service project dispatching and track field service resource availability / outages
Maintain the field service bulletin (FSB) process to ensure technical support and training departments are working together to identify FSB needs and tracking them towards completion.
Ensure all Service Programs / Projects have Service Entitlements applied for resource planning and Work Authorizations received from PMO/Project Control are distributed to the service team.
Basic Qualifications
Requires a BA degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience. 7 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Should include experience doing technical support, project/program management, and interfacing with field service teams.
Familiar with basic electronic test, measure, and diagnostics equipment such as multimeters
Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold a valid sate driver’s license
Ability to pass a TSA suitability background check
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with CBP and TSA equipment maintenance programs involving computer tomography (CT) equipment and other non-intrusive X-ray inspection equipment.
