If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesIBM Technical Support Services (TSS)' mission is to become the largest and most successful provider of technical support services in the world.Service Planning is an integral part of TSS business, working with the product development teams and service delivery teams to ensure a new product is serviceable and the global delivery teams are ready. The global service planning teams drive product serviceability improvements and develop a consistent worldwide product service plan to ensure it meets the customer requirements.Main responsibilities:- Part of the MVS Global Product Service Planning team and will focus on the data entry for creating/introducing MVS products in the MIW database based on the info provided by the requester (like data sheets, pictures), so they can be used by internal IBM functions and downstream systems.- Responsible for the creation of new manufacturers, products and parts in the MIW (Multi-Vendor Information Warehouse) database for a globally strategic platform or a specific global offering (like Apple, IMS, Cisco, etc.) across a wide array of worldwide leading edge IT manufacturers.- Management of the product lifecycle in the MIW database from introduction through service withdrawal, in agreement with the Global Product Planner.- Initiation of the safety review for the products to make sure they are safe to service, accordingly to our Corporate Instructions.- Maintain efficient and effective processes, are an active member of the Service Planning team and in the Community to support and share expertise, best practices and knowledge with colleagues.- Execute completed staff work when entering new products into MIW, i.e. focus on information accuracy, define the right product category, prepare the product safety review, perform data cleaning reviews and ensure the MIW entries for the dedicated products are always up to date, including EOS (end of service) dates.- Contribute positively towards the achievement of performance targets in all aspects of the team's activities.(This position will require flexible working time).Required Technical and Professional Expertise- Ability to work under targets and with deadlines, able to organize and prioritize tasks.- Quickly learn new systems, procedures and tools in response to changes in work environment.- Accuracy and attention to detail.- Listen carefully to others, asking questions when necessary to ensure common understanding.
