Training and Development Consultant

Work you'll do
- Support the development and delivery of training and performance support, including developing instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, or web training as needed, programming and testing course materials for Section 508 compliance, and coordinating training logistics
- Gather, review, analyze and synthesize content
- Create the course design by drafting course objectives and detailed course outline
- Storyboard the detailed course content based on the approved outline or create instructor-led course materials (facilitator guide, participant guide, PowerPoint slides) based on approved outline
- Conduct quality assurance of course materials and deliverables
- Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work
- Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues
- Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports
- Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
- Assist in proposal development, as requested
- Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, Industrial and Organizational Development/Psychology, or a related discipline
- 2 years of relevant consulting or industry experience in the learning and development space
- Travel up to 70%
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required clearance for this role
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in a related discipline
- Experience in Section 508 compliance
- Training facilitation experience, virtual or in-person
- Ability to learn new technology and translate technical information into easy-to-understand communications and training
- Experience in training development and system design lifecycle and phases
- Experience developing communications materials (fact sheets, newsletters, briefing decks, etc.)
- Experience in business development and proposals
