Senior Software Engineer

Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer. This position will be located at Eaton's Cleveland OH (Beachwood) Headquarters. This position also provides corporate sponsorship.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97499.97 - $142999.96 a year.

What you’ll do:

The Software Engineer will be involved in the architecture, design, and development of a large-scale, highly distributed AI and machine learning intelligence platform.

• Participate in the design, development, and application of our Intelligence Platform
• Create platform APIs and microservices
• Accountable for end-to-end delivery of solutions from requirements gathering to production
• Create ETL jobs and scripts
• Interact with large data sets
• Explore and recommend new tools and processes that can be leveraged across the platform
• Mentor and develop junior members

Qualifications:

Basic Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• 5+ years of experience in the software industry as a developer, with a proven track record of shipping high-quality products
• Python primary development language or at least one major programming language (eg: Java, C, C++, Python, etc)
• Experience developing Rest APIs and Microservices
• Experience with basic data transformations or ETL pipelines
• Containerization experience such as Docker, Kubernetes or similar
• Experience with Cloud computing such as Azure, AWS or GCP, etc
• No relocation is being offered for this position. ALL Candidates must CURRENTLY reside within a 50-mile radius of the following Eaton locations: Cleveland OH (Beachwood)
• This position offers corporate sponsorship (HIB Visa, etc)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Machine Learning or Data Analytics
• CI/CD or automation experience
• Experience with basic Data transformations or ETL pipelines
• Distributed computing with Spark
• Orchestration with Apache Airflow
• Familiar with computing experience, ideally Microsoft Azure
• Any experience with Machine Learning or Data Analytics
