ADM is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our technical team, with a focus on optimizing our on-premises setup. In this role, you will be a part of the team that is driving the agency's adoption of DevSecOps best practices, ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of our software delivery processes. Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implements and maintains continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools (such as Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube and GitLab).
  • Conducts security assessments and vulnerability scans on applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments to identify and remediate security risks.
  • Oversees the project’s ATO, security and POAMS process.
  • Develops and enforces security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors system performance, troubleshoots issues, and implements optimizations to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Automates routine administrative tasks using scripting languages and configuration management tools.
  • Collaborates with development and operations teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and automate deployment processes.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery exercises.
  • Stays current with emerging technologies, security threats, and industry trends, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 level support for all incoming ServiceNow tickets.
  • Works with and assists DevSecOps SME and Sr. Engineers on technical implementations as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Four plus years of experience in DevOps, System Administration, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD, version control, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of security principles, standards, and best practices, with a focus on securing software applications and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages and configuration management tools.
  • Experience with Linux system administration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be a green card holder or US Citizen who can obtain Public Trust Clearance.
  • Previous HHS experience is a big plus.
