Engineering Co-op (Job Number: 2212072 )

To assist Electrical and Powertrain Project Managers conduct field testing and collecting technical data. This position will be involved in developing test plans and methods of collecting data for future data analysis/reporting.

Tooling that this position will use for testing is digital multimeters, resistance meters, oscilloscopes, data loggers, Autometer electrical system tester, scientific measurements tools, DST sound analyzing tools, OEM software, etc.

• Conduct electrical voltage drop testing on medium / heavy-duty trucks, tractors, and trailers
• Conduct parasitic draw on medium / heavy duty trucks, tractors, and trailers
• Conduct sound analysis recordings for further mechanical failure mitigation
• Set-up and install data loggers for real time data recording for further analysis
• Validate truck system operations to help ensure positive customer experience
• Collect and store data recorded in a manner all parties can access and digest accurately and easily

-GPA of 3.0 or higher is required

-Student should be entering Junior or Senior year

-Completion of some core curriculum classes is preferred.

-Needs to have very good organization and communication skills

-Should have advanced competency in both Excel and PowerPoint –

-Willingness and drive to work independently, meet deadlines, and demonstrate leadership

-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
