Internship: Engineering - Southfield, MI

Eaton’s CTO Corporate Technology Office division is currently seeking a Engineering Intern

The hourly rate for this position is 34.62 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Eaton Corporation’s Research Labs has an opening for an Engineering Intern located in Southfield, MI. Students will start their full-time internship with Eaton in the Summer of 2024 through the start of following school year. The students would have access to state-of-the-art laboratories and on-site mentoring.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop computational finite element modeling of an additive manufacturing process.
• Prepare and carry out additive manufacturing print jobs.
• Learn and perform engineering analysis and digital simulation leveraging advanced tools (CAD, FEA, statistical tolerance analysis, computational analysis - ABAQUS, etc.).
• Learn and utilize Design for X techniques to drive design optimization. (X = Cost, Manufacturing and Assembly, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Sets aggressive goals, measures performance, and strives to go beyond what is expected.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (please do not round).
• Must be geographically flexible to relocate within United States.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.
