What will you do?

In this role, you will proactively implement, promote, and maintain a safety culture, emphasizing diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance, and rule enforcement. You will act as the leader for the cable tray system line, managing daily operations and spearheading continuous improvement projects. Your responsibilities include driving employee engagement with respect to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.

You will research, specify, justify, and implement capital projects, ensuring project and resource planning is aligned with vendor and contract management. You’ll plan and execute setup and cycle time improvements using Lean Techniques, and work on plant layout, process flow, and machine capability improvements.

Your role supports initiatives in areas such as safety, quality, delivery, and cost, where you will develop and recommend process, equipment, or procedural improvements. You will allocate necessary resources to meet external and internal commitments while controlling costs, analyze and resolve work problems, and assist personnel in solving work problems.

Additionally, you will support New Product Development projects as needed, ensuring robust LEAN principles are incorporated into new manufacturing processes. Promoting strong employee engagement will be essential to your success in this position.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years manufacturing engineering experience
  • Minimum 2 years leadership experience
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Troy, IL will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Lean or Six-Sigma training or certifications
  • Understanding of PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Proficient in AutoCad and SolidWorks, Microsoft Suite
