DevSecOps Engineering Practice Lead

Chubb is the world's largest publicly traded property and casualty insurer. With operations in 54 countries, Chubb provides commercial and personal property and casualty insurance, personal accident and supplemental health insurance, reinsurance, and life insurance to a diverse group of clients.

This role is to be a liaison between the integration development team to act as a partner for the corporate DevOps + Cloud Operations team. The architecture of the integration team implements solutions, which are based on containerized technologies using K8 solutions and microservices.

The DevOps organization uses standard industry set of tool such as Jenkins templates, JIRA, LDAP, Git along with SonarQube and Nexus. You will need to know about DevOps tools with Cloud platforms, Configuration Management, Delivery Management, System Administration, and Cloud Migration. You will also assist in the areas of Open Source Vulnerability Scanning Packaging, Certificate Management in Azure Vault, Password Policy Management, Data Analysis of security monitoring outputs, coordination of Remediation Patching, and other Security and Compliance efforts. Additionally, you will help by developing an automated security framework for robust deployment tools and processes, leveraging open source solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in an Agile-based environment to engineer, design, and deliver public and private cloud-based Kubernetes platforms and solutions
• Design, engineer, and implement enterprise-grade high volume, low latency, distributed applications via cloud-based deployment and operational processes
• Utilize automation and orchestration systems and tooling to manage a broad portfolio of containerized web applications, configuration files, databases, user mount points, and deployment packages
• Work on public cloud platforms delivering Infrastructure as service (IAAS) and Platform as service (PAAS) solutions
• Implement security best practices in public clouds and also secure containers and microservices
• Execute on all release engineering aspects of DevOps including Configuration Build and Deployment Management, Continuous Integration and Delivery
• Develop automated, continuous application build and deployment processes (CI/CD), focusing on the regular improvement of end-user experience
• Instrument systems to provide the best possible operational monitoring and metrics (APM)
• Assist with performance testing and tuning of complex and high-traffic environments
• Create, update and enhance written processes and documentation with a focus on ease of understanding and completeness
• Perform after-hours or weekend system maintenance and application support as needed
• Participate in change management and incident management processes
• Engage in problem resolution and root cause analysis of system and application incidents
