Opportunities Available

The primary project for this internship will be to create a more efficient process workflow for engaging key stakeholders on Supplier Initiated Change Request (SICR) and a system for accurately tracking metrics and project deliverables.

Suggested Project Goals:

Engage with the cross functional team to gain an understanding of the importance of change control for a class 3 medical device.

Gain exposure to various manufacturing processes, process improvements, global supply chain management, regulatory requirements, and project management.

Design and implement an improved SICR workflow for the Sourcing team.

Create a tool for tracking key SICR related project metrics.

This project will allow the intern to partner with the following groups (at a minimum):

  • Sourcing Managers

  • Quality Engineering

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Component Engineering

  • Reliability Engineering

  • Buyers

  • Circuit Board Suppliers

  • Regulatory

Desired Skill Set:

An engineering background

Ability to interact with others in cross-functional roles

Strong capability with Microsoft Office Suite (Specifically Word, Excel, and SharePoint)

What You Need

• Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer

• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and also will be verified during background check in the spring

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow

• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

• Ability to exercise independent judgment

• Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

• Proven leadership and business acumen skills

• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Strong interpersonal skills
