What you’ll be doing...

Works in a Satellite and terrestrial Network design, test and support environment. Provides Customer and Backhaul planning, design and support, CPE and terrestrial Network testing, executing the network builds and QA Acceptance functions. Handles complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors including Vendor equipment, network customer troubleshooting as well as the back-haul systems support. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies to determine appropriate actions and solutions to complex and difficult pre-sales and post-sale customer and network solutions. Acts independently to determine or develop the appropriate methods and procedures to apply. Frequently provides support to peers on more complex and/or new assignments. Works on difficult customer-related network issues, systems and database inputs as well as provides technical support to Network Management Center for network sites troubleshooting and resolutions.

  • Owns projects, both internal and customer as well as manages to achieve common objectives.
  • Communicates well with your peers and quick on identifying issues and corrective action.
  • Works closely with other members on a team as well as with customers and vendors.
  • Makes customer recommendations and solve problems
  • Provides resolutions to a diverse range of complex terrestrial network challenges and demonstrates good judgment.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Engineering design and support functions
  • Position may require after normal business hours support and 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Five or more years of Network telecommunications experience.
  • Knowledge of the iEN Network.
  • Knowledge of Network IP Cisco routers, networking technologies and switches.
  • Experience in the Satellite industry and RF technology.
  • Experience with Direct Evolution and Dialog systems.
  • Experience building Process documentation (Methods & Procedures) and Process flows.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio or iGrafx.
  • Knowledge of relational databases (SQL experience a plus).
  • Experience crafting UAT test plan and scripts.
