Quality Engineer

Eaton’s Vehicle Group, Royal Power Solutions business is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Carol Stream, IL facility and relocation assistance is provided to those living outside of a 50-mile radius of the plant. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Position Overview:

This position is responsible to ensure outgoing quality of all products in order to meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations. This includes the segregation, identification, re-work, and the proper disposition of unacceptable or non-conforming parts and materials. This position will also be responsible directing end of the line inspections, insuring manufacturing and all supporting documentation is complete, Quality Engineering and testing functions daily. Ensure facility complies with IATF and ISO-9001 certifications.

In this function you will:

• Mange external corrective actions that are received from our customers.
• Provide internal communications pertaining to all customer corrective actions received.
• Mange customer concern notifications and coordinate internal actions to resolve customer concerns.
• Lead all customer requested audits; communicating audit results internally and assigning owners to corrective actions identified during the audit to meet the customer needs and expectations.
• Coordinating with external inspection providers as needed.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering to establish process controls that meet the expectations of the customer.
• Manage, dispute & generate all customer Returned Merchandise Authorizations.
• Statistical review of product data for issues, trends and improvements as needed.
• Travel as required to support and meet the needs of our customers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in from an accredited institution
• Minimum one (1) year of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering discipline
• Experience working in the Automotive Industry
• CQE and/or CQM certifications
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certifications.
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead auditor certification.

Position Criteria:

• Strong understanding of statistical process control and how to use data to drive decisions.
• Advanced knowledge of OEM quality standards, systems, and processes.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Root cause analysis – 6-Sigma, Lean Manufacturing
• Advanced computer skills, including P.C. knowledge and current technology software familiarity.
• Continuously looking for ways to improve the customer experience.
• Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions, and solve problems independently
