We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to support our customers within the Strategic Microelectronics Division at Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane.
We are looking for someone willing to dig in and take an active role in deconstructing microelectronic parts. The ideal candidate would take their hands-on experience and technological solutions to improve processes and procedures and then support the development by designing fixtures, software, and/or non-traditional techniques.

Minimum Requirements
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar
- 0-1 years of relevant experience required
- Hands-on experience with handling and machining small parts, such as microelectronics
- Experience in laboratory environments, including:
- operation of microscopes and other analytical equipment
- chemical safety
- Working knowledge of machining equipment and practices
- Applied knowledge of geometry and algebra for physical applications
- Experience in Quality Assurance and/or Failure Analysis
- Demonstrated capability to learn through hands on training
- Advanced knowledge for the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of CAD software
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to engage on a multidisciplinary team of technicians, scientists and engineers
- Ability to identify and support opportunities for process improvements through fixture design and integrating new techniques
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of techniques for failure or material analysis of microelectronics
- Basic knowledge of microelectronic construction
- Working knowledge for microcontroller programming
- Working knowledge of Microsoft VBA
