Radar Engineering Technician
Job Summary
Amentum is looking for a highly motivated SPS-49 Radar Engineering Technician to support the in-service Engineering Agent at Dam Neck Virginia. The candidate shall have a background in the maintenance/repair and system testing of the AN/SPS-49 Radar system installed onboard US Naval Ships and Shore base facilities. Applicants will be required to also developed Standard Operating Procedures and to enter radar discrepancies into different Naval data base systems when required. Assist as an Assessment Director's Assistant (ADA) providing technical and managerial support for Total Ships Readiness Assessment (TSRA) and Ballistic Missile Defense Readiness Assessment (BMDRA) visits on U.S. Navy ships.
Minimum Requirements
- Candidate must have formal Radar technician Naval training in AN/SPS-49 radar systems.
- Five (5) years of experience with maintenance repair and system testing of shipboard radar system or shore base radar systems.
- Show a background in the supporting Rotating Radar Wholeness of the AN/SPS-49 radar systems as a shipboard technicians providing repair and corrective actions to Radar systems.
- Active Secret clearance
