Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager of CART-T Operational Excellence, the Senior Specialist, Operational Excellence, Cell Therapy is a key member of the site Operational Excellence team. This individual contributor role will contribute to the support and execution of the Operational Excellence Roadmap at the Jump Manufacturing site in Bothell, WA. This role is designed for a person motivated to support the implementation and adoption of strategic and operational initiatives across GPS Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other site critical functions in support of exceeding Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost performance.

Operational Excellence (OE) Team:

We are a team focused on creating a continuous improvement culture (i.e., lean operations) at the site. We promote the use of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and change management techniques to meet business objectives and build the foundations to drive continuous, sustainable, flawless execution and performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain best practices in areas of business processes, KPIs, and analytics including visual management systems
  • Serve as a coach for program/project teams, leadership teams and departments on use of Lean methodology, use of Six Sigma methodology, use of project management skills, and use of change management tools
  • Facilitate kaizen workshops, value stream mapping, process mapping, SIPOCS, and other key continuous improvement tools/skills
  • Utilize data analysis and analytics to support the development of key performance metrics, capacity models, and improve overall operational performance
  • Leads effort across the business to identify improvement opportunities

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree of Engineering/Business/ Science or related discipline
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification, Green or Black Belt or Equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience leading and supporting operational excellence transformations in a pharmaceutical or a related regulated industry
  • Experience creating Value Stream Maps, Process Maps, SIPOCS and other lean/six sigma deliverables
  • Experience in project management, facilitation, training, and change management
  • Skilled in critical thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possesses a basic understanding of the Six Sigma and Lean philosophies and can teach and coach others how to apply Six Sigma and Lean concepts and foundational tools
  • Ability to influence, build relationships, and manage change effectively across a highly matrixed organization
