What you’ll be doing...

This position of Engr III Spec-Ntwk Equipment is responsible for the NJ 5G, small cell, macro cell, and temporary deployment equipment engineering. In this role you will play a pivotal part in the successful implementation of cell deployments for the Tri-State market. The ideal candidate will have experience in ordering equipment, managing equipment schedules, vendor management, construction management, and overall project management.

• Apply project management skills to the small cell new build and 5G programs.
• Utilize existing knowledge of wireless networks and operations to drive efficient communication streams across various teams and organizations.
• Manage external vendors for equipment forecasts and delivery.
• Drive construction teams to hit monthly goals.
• Manage Capital budget and forecasting.

Where you will be working:

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Three or more years of relevant experience.
• Experience in 5G network architecture and equipment.
• Experience managing large scale projects that interface between multiple teams.
• Experience in vendor management, equipment ordering, and forecasting.
• Experience in reading, understanding, and commenting on construction drawings.
• Experience in 4G network architecture, CRAN architecture, and equipment.
• Experience driving troubleshooting efforts.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• A degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Ability to work well both independently and in diverse teams
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Defined and developed reporting methods.
• Ability to lead technical discussions with a group of individuals in the industry with varying technical positions.
• Experience managing teams.
