PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Specialist, Integrated Reporting prepares internal and external reporting of analysis of consolidated results and operating metrics.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Coordinate with various stakeholders for the monthly management reporting activities;
  • Assess and research implications of emerging accounting and reporting matters including ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) disclosure requirements, provide inputs or prepare related disclosures;
  • Prepare and assemble executive reports on monthly or quarterly financial results, including metrics, business drivers and variance explanations (monthly short summary of key results variances “flash” report, quarterly earnings per share and operating ratio “waterfall” report with supporting schedules, quarterly reference resource “back-up” binder);
  • Prepare external financial disclosures on consolidated variances of financial results;
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations in support of Corporate Reporting team accountabilities;
  • Support team projects and initiatives including quarter end and year end external and management reporting, process documentation, data management and system optimization, including associated integration of newly acquired entities;
  • Support other external and legal entity reporting activities;
  • Ensure financial reporting and disclosures comply with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and securities regulations, and underlying processes comply with internal controls (SOX) requirements;
  • Address queries from auditors and internal reviewers.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Accounting (CPA) Designation;
  • Knowledge of US GAAP requirements, desirable;
  • Application Expertise (desirable): SAP, BPC, Excel, Workiva, Blackline;
  • Process Management Skills;
  • Possess a strong attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders;
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment; and
  • Strong verbal and written communication Skills.
