Job Summary:

Akima is currently seeking a Specialist Security to join the team.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages SCI or DIA-sponsored SSO Administration Course.
  • Knowledge of SSO requirements from applicable manuals, regulations, policies, and instructions
  • Verify SCI access procedures, e-Qip, JPAS, and Scattered Castles use and management.
  • Support Program COMSEC account; ensure accountability of Crypto material, key, and key-loading equipment.
  • Administer the receipt, control, and accountability of SCI.
  • Assists in evaluating the company Security Policy and Procedures document on an annual basis.
  • Reviews and writes the security portion of proposals and other contract requirements, as necessary.
  • Strong communication skills; able to handle questions, complaints, and requests.
  • Possess integrated security services skill sets in the following areas: SSO Operations; SCIF operations; SCI Personnel Security; SCI Information Security; SCI Physical Security; SCI TEMPEST; and SCI Industrial Security.
  • Manages personnel security clearances; initiating initial investigations and periodic reviews; visit requests; incidentreports; reciprocity requests; verification of clearances; and all other actions processed in the Defense InformationSystem for Security (DISS).
  • Completes/submits encrypted VARs/VALs and SCI requests.
  • Works directly with the information security section to investigate security breaches; identifying and resolving security related problems that arise; and finalizes appropriate agency reports if required.
  • Establishes and maintains an Army Centralized Contracts and Security Portal (ACCS) account for classified contracts.
  • Reviews DCSA and IC customer standards for accreditation and provides recommendations to program managers and executives.
  • Conducts inventory of classified hardware and documents, purging items that have been closed out or are no longer needed for the contract specified.
  • Assists in the preparation of emergency management and contingency planning for classified storage materials.
  • Assists in evaluating the company Security Policy and Procedures document on an annual basis.
  • Reviews and writes the security portion of proposals and other contract requirements, as necessary.
  • Performs work under general supervision.
  • Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Three (3) years of experience (working in a Government SCIF).
  • Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI.
  • Typically requires BA and 2-4 years of experience.
