Job Description

The position

The Senior Specialist, Supplier Resiliency will report directly to the Director Third Party Risk & Compliance and will be responsible for leading the Third Party Resilience program for Organon. Responsibilities will include re-defining the model for Product Risk mapping, N-Tier suppliers mapping, suppliers risk identification and reporting of Third Party Risk. The role will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders from Global Procurement & Supplier Management (GPSM), Supply Chain, Integrated Risk Management as well as Internal Audit.


Responsibilities

Third Party Resilience
Senior Specialist, Supplier Resiliency enables Procurement to proactively manage the material/product risk derived from supplier risk to prevent supply disruption, revenue impact, or brand impact by deployment of Third Party Resilience process and providing risk transparency via structures, methodologies and meaningful metrics.

In your role you will be responsible for management of the Third Party Resilience program by

  • Developing and facilitating the Third Party Resilience program

  • Updating and maintaining the Supply Risk Score model and establish risk rating

  • Alignment on prioritization of the Product Risk Score, initiating the execution and monitoring the progress

  • Ensuring the availability and quality of the data required for state of art risk assessments for all supplier risk drivers to identify key risks across the Enterprise

  • Establishing the collaboration with Supply Chain, Value Chain and the Integrated Risk Management (IRM) stakeholders

  • Enabling N-Tier supply chain mapping for suppliers

  • Operating as internal business partner for GPSM and Supply Chain and creating and maintaining the internal risk management network for Third Party Resilience

  • Act as the subject matter expert driving best in class risk management solutions resulting in solid risk mitigations

  • Monitoring and assessing the identified risks in order to check adequacy of the process and effectiveness of taken decisions and actions

  • Creating and conducting trainings for the internal stakeholders

  • Defining the right controls and frequency of risk assessments to secure accuracy of data

  • Maintaining the inputs to IRM risk dashboard to report on the key risks and their status

  • Proactively alerting the organization in case of suppliers’ crisis or issues

  • Creating the Third Party Resilience playbook

Policy Compliance and Risk

  • Develops and maintains a global, consistent approach to conducting ICS (Internal Control System) assessment monitoring compliance with GPSM policies throughout the GPSM organization

  • Conducts regular ICS assessments for GPSM organization

  • Provides reports and monitors risk assessment process and addresses compliance issues

  • Will maintain the policies training plan for GPSM and manage Learn2Grow

  • Will maintain the GPSM policies, SOPs and Business practice documents in ETQ

  • Provide support for Internal Audit activities for GPSM

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

You have a good understanding of supplier risk management domain, either by previous experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality or Risk Management, that includes the ability to interpret business challenges and impact that can be caused by suppliers. Specialized experience in risk management such as handling supply chain disruptions will be a strong advantage. You can work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. You possess skills to manage interactions with cross-functional stakeholders beyond your direct scope of influence. Your knowledge of macro-economic and political risks will be a great addition.

  • BS/BA degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or relevant technical discipline

  • >7 years of relevant working experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality or Risk Management

  • Able to work in complex structures and matrix organization

  • Strong collaboration, communication and partnering capabilities

  • Ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities

  • Analytical skills and attention to details; experience with Business Warehouse and data analytics

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with a remote team

  • Willingness to take ownership to deliver measurable results

  • English Language mandatory

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Demonstrated Quality, Technical and / or IT experience in a regulated industry.

  • Ability to develop and / or improve supplier relationships.

  • Proven self-starter.

  • Experience in Project Management is an advantage

  • Appreciates and respects diversity, cultures, and norms.
