Start your journey now!Your Role and ResponsibilitiesIBM's Americas Data and AI organization is looking for a Cloud Pak for Data Senior Technical Specialist to solve technical related matters for our customers during pre-sales progression. This exciting position requires a technical leader who has an understanding of our customer's business needs, data and AI market trends and technologies and IBM's on-prem, Cloud/SaaS and hybrid solutions portfolio, with specific focus on the Cloud Pak for Data platform in order to demonstrate to clients the business outcomes they can achieve with IBM.As part of the Americas team, you will work to create sales plays and the requisite artifacts, business plans, technical demos, architectures, and enablement materials. You will liaise with the market leadership to train market resources on the assets you create, and directly assist them as an escalation resource on customer opportunities. In addition, this position serves as a technical sales consultant to our clients and a technical sales leader for sales representatives working the most complex solutions. The applicant will learn the client's business and technical requirements, competitive landscape and apply their technical knowledge and experience to recommend new solutions. The applicant will also be delivering demonstrations, and proof of concepts with using Cloud Pak for Data, a Red Hat OpenShift based, end to end market leading Data, Analytics and AI platform. Just some of the specific components include Db2, DataStage, Watson Knowledge Catalog, MDM, Data Virtualization, Netezza Performance Server, Watson Studio (Data Science IDE), Watson Machine Learning, SPSS, and Cognos Reporting. The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the sales representatives to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions. The candidate will support technical design solutions and answer technical questions throughout the sales process in order to progress/close sales and develop customer relationships. The candidate will assist sales representatives with identifying opportunities and quantifying the value proposition of our solutions with clients.
