If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for candidates with prior technical support experience and a strong programming and debugging background in transaction processing or database processing on mainframes. Engages in identifying and resolving complex problems relating to product/service installation, update, configuration, operations, performance, or other aspects of information technology products and services. Problem troubleshooting, analysis, root cause determination, and resolution are key skills needed to excel in this position. The ability to communicate both through written and verbal communication in English is a must. The candidate should also be capable of putting the needs of our customers first while being mindful of technical best practices.Required Technical and Professional Expertise-Ability to perform problem resolution on DB2 and associated supporting products-Resolve issues impacting IBM client business and play a key role in enhancing the client experience-Lead the problem resolution process through analysis and troubleshooting, to deploying workarounds or fixes-Leverage and train IBM AI and other cognitive-based knowledge sources for high quality and timely problem resolution-Can independently install and upgrade DB2, using currently supported versions-Can independently build & configure DB2-Can independently execute DB2 recoveries (local and in support of Disaster Recovery)Preferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseAn Associate's degree in Computer Science or other related discipline is preferred, but not requiredAbout Business UnitAt Global Technology Services (GTS), we help our clients envision the future by offering end-to-end IT and technology support services, supported by an unmatched global delivery network.
