That includes ensuring our leave of absence programs are administered accurately and efficiently. This role offers an opportunity to support our employees and managers while administering, evaluating, troubleshooting and communicating our leave of absence programs. Provide exceptional and compassionate service to employees needing assistance while ensuring appropriate communication with various stakeholders.

  • Support the administration of leave of absence programs such as FMLA, American Disability Act and Short and Long Term Disability, parental leave and caregiver leave.
  • Consult with employees and managers on plan provisions, leave eligibility, and other general inquiries. Troubleshoot and resolve both routine and complex leave issues.
  • Works in service center environment ensuring appropriate case management documentation occurs.
  • Supports Workers Compensation program including submission of claims, participation in claim review meetings and production of required reporting.
  • Provide training and support for employees on leave programs.
  • Navigate employees through challenging situations while demonstrating a high level of service.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to employees by maintaining contact via channel agreed upon between advisor and employee.
  • Interpret policies and procedures for employees and managers regarding leaves, escalating when necessary.
  • Constantly work with team members to improve and develop best practices for employee leave delivery.
  • Communicate leave plans and changes; conduct orientation as needed; prepare and disseminate communication materials when appropriate.
  • Maintain leave records and documentation
  • Compile and submit necessary reports.
  • Ensure compliance under federal and state regulations regarding leave of absence programs.
  • Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they are related to leaves of absence.
  • May support integration efforts for employees joining company via merger or acquisition
  • Exemplify team attitude and willingness to support others in need of assistance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related major is required.
  • Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), typing proficiency is required and experience with a case management system and HCM system is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience supporting customers in a fast-paced environment; strong preference for experience HR, Leave of Absence administration, or Worker’s Compensation.
  • Applied knowledge of leaves/benefit laws and regulations, including FMLA, HIPAA preferred.
  • Applicable certification desired.
