What you will do:

The Senior Compliance and Professional Affairs Specialist will support the strategic and tactical execution of the ASC physician training program and is the owner of key compliance processes. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of process, the ability to think critically, and excellent judgment. The candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to manage projects through the entire project life cycle. This professional will proactively and independently seek solutions to issues and make recommendations for improvement. The Senior Compliance and Professional Affairs Specialist is responsible for: managing exhibit, sponsorship, and the grant request process; enforcing expense management compliance for physician and training events; the creation and execution of physician and non-HCP consulting agreements and management of the physician consultant database.

  • Interact directly with KOLs to secure support of programs.
  • Communicate directly with sales management team to ensure event guideline adherence.
  • Analyze all registration data, report on trends, and lead efforts to improve efficiency of physician events.
  • Work with ASC team to define and adhere to processes to ensure efficient, compliant execution of medical education programs.
  • Create communication tools to help define programs and processes to stakeholders.
  • Oversee the expense report process to ensure accuracy and compliance to company established expense guidelines.
  • Analyze expense report metrics and communicate with Sales Management trends of ASC events.
  • Obtain required documentation to process expense reports.
  • As to Physician Consulting Agreements, be the primary subject matter expert on Stryker consultant process.
  • Manage health care professional consultant contracts process from inception to execution.
  • Serve as a point of contact for physician agreement review calls.
  • Manage tracking spreadsheet.
  • As to Exhibits, Sponsorships and Grant Requests, serve as lead contact for exhibit, sponsorship and grant requests.
  • Shepherd requests through process as appropriate; communicate outcome to stakeholders.
  • Support PO/invoicing process for Marketing team.

What you need:

  • 2+ years’ experience in marketing, communications, physician education, sales and or training strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication or business-related field required
  • Self-starter with demonstrated success working independently and on high performance teams.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and communication skills with a team-oriented philosophy.
  • Ability to work one-on-one with physicians while also being able to coordinate efforts across the Stryker organization.
  • Ability to see both tactical details as well as systematic issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate within compliance and regulatory guidelines.
  • Willingness to be a “hands on” contributor.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage heavy workload.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft package, particularly on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
