Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a proactive Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) Specialist in fields directly related to operating within the EMS in Hanover, MD.

You will have at least a decade of Information Warfare (IW)-related experience (Electronic Warfare (EW), Cryptology (CRY), Command and Control (C2), Cyber Operations (CO), Spectrum Management (SM), Meteorology/Oceanography (METOC), Intelligence (INTEL) or Space), and come ready to join a well-respected team with exceptional Fleet credibility. We’re looking for a go-getter who has a firm grasp of the big picture of EW, Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) and Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare (EMW), and is well-versed in how this critical skillset fits into the Information Warfare (IW) Community and beyond.


You will work with the government to support EA/EW operations and policy reviews to help define the future of EW coordination requirements. The specific work will include the development, review, and coordination of EW policy as it relates to EW operations in the Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum. You will also be working to deconflict EA/EW operations using RF spectrum tools and processes.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 10 years’ experience in a field related to Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO)
  • Proficient in word-processing and integrated software applications (such as Microsoft Office)
  • Due to the nature of the work, must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must have an active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 20 years of experience in Information Warfare (IW) for the DoN, including three years of development of the Navy's EMW approach
  • Military service as an O-3/CWO/E-7 or above
  • Navy officer or enlisted experience from the following communities/ratings is preferred: Aviation Warfare (VAQ, VQ), Surface Warfare, Submarine Warfare, Information Warfare, CTT, CTR, CTN, IT (SM), C2, FC, AG, IS
  • Demonstrated understanding of applicable technical concepts and practices in order to support EMW readiness across DOTMPLF
  • SLQ-32 (V6) experience
