What You Will Do:

  • Primary responsibilities for driving and advancing the artificial intelligence initiatives of Data Science and Analytics while providing technical leadership in the team’s day-to-day project portfolio
  • Collaborate across Stryker to identify opportunities for Artificial Intelligence. Design, create, and deliver solutions that drive business value creation through the application of Data Science.
  • Engage with various internal and external data providers and customers of those providers. This position provides a key resource for daily operations of the Data Science & Analytics team as well as hands-on implementation of all new functionality and solutions created through team resources
  • Willingness and ability to provide technical leadership around Data Science to junior members of the team
  • Execute the development and implementation of short-term and long-term Data Science & Analytics strategies with other global system/process owners including SAP, Master Data governance, Encompass, and Global Item Master.
  • Solve complex issues using Data Science techniques and artificial intelligence with large, ambiguous datasets
  • Articulate business problems and shape analytics results into informing, compelling stories for the business to understand and consume
  • Perform construction of the framework for large-scale, value-added predictive solutions that utilized artificial intelligence (AI) to be used by functions around Stryker
  • Facilitate direction of the day-to-day tasks of junior data scientists and interns as it relates to various projects and other team initiatives
  • Identify and present business opportunities through the use of AI and emerging technologies in the Data Science domain
  • Use creativity to engineer novel features, signals, and solutions to push beyond current Data Science tools and practices
  • Promote and develop the adoption of cloud-based technologies and innovative solutions to enhance Data Science capabilities to add value to all functions around Stryker Corporation
  • Develop and provide quality metrics and education to existing and potential stakeholders on Data Science

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Data Science related field
  • 6+ years of related experiences applicable to the position required
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies and distributed processing frameworks, 3+ years of experience preferred
  • Proficiency in SQL and large database systems with a strong understanding of data flows
  • Experience running advanced analyses using Python, Scala and ML libraries/frameworks like Scikit-learn and Spark ML
  • Ability to define requirements and use data metrics to draw business insights that lead to better informed, stakeholder decisions
  • Excellent stakeholder management

This job may be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States, except that this job may not be filled or performed in Colorado.
