The purpose of this position is to support analysis, budgeting and forecasting of clinical trials and joint collaborations, in Full Development Oncology/Solid Tumors. The primary responsibilities will be for the costing and budgeting of clinical trials along with providing key metrics supporting study valuations, managing quarterly financial close processes, and supporting several collaborations, including most notably, the ONO collaboration. The individual will also take on lead financial responsibility for multiple development teams, within Oncology.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead support and compilation of quarterly accounting review and GAAP adjustments for Oncology studies.

  • Act as primary financial lead for Sub Q Development Team in Oncology supporting all of its clinical studies.

  • Financial analysis, support, and management of various critical aspects of the ONO collaboration, including the annual budget plan.

  • Financial support and management of certain cost sharing collaborations with other pharmaceutical partners, as assigned.

  • Support and periodically back up other team members with defined tasks.

  • Responsible to achieve financial goals and elevate issues proactively and timely.

  • Support and lead improvements in systems and processes used to generate data for analysis.

  • Contribute to creation of a high performance culture through effective leadership and communication with key stakeholders in the organization.

  • Articulate a vision for the function and communicate a supporting strategy with clarity, force and impact to align people, critical resources, management and stakeholders.

  • Support and lead change that continuously adapts to a dynamic business environment.

  • Learns from experience and applies those learnings to enhance performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, CPA or MBA preferred.

  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in finance or accounting.

  • Strong financial and analytical skills as well as excellent business partnering abilities required.

  • Strong working knowledge of financial systems is preferred and ability to adapt to and learn other R & D systems, tools and resources.

  • Ability to review and manage complex contractual arrangements.

  • Effective communication skills, strong oral and written communications a must.

  • Self-starter, highly motivated, customer focused and able to make decisions independently.

  • Collaboration experience, inside and outside of finance is desirable.

  • Experience working with multiple levels of management with competing demands on time and resources.
