The Leidos Partnership for Defense Health is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented intern as a Cloud DevOps and Tooling Administrator to work REMOTELY and support its $4.6B single award DHMSM IDIQ contract, known as MHS GENESIS. This highly visible program provides modernization of Electronic Health Records (EHR) capabilities for the Department of Defense, supporting nearly 10 million service members and their families worldwide. While every healthcare system is addressing quality, user experience and cost, the MHS GENESIS program has the added challenge of delivering these objectives within the DOD security environment, at the DOD’s global scale, all while supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA)’s vision of a medically ready force ─ which is essential to our national defense.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and strengthen your knowledge of and/or experience with automated deployments, configuration, and security of SecDevOps and CI/CD tools and cloud infrastructure.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Administer Jira/Confluence instance to support Agile implementation.
• Administer portable SecDevOps offering to automate deployment, configuration, and security of DevSecOps and CI/CD tools and cloud infrastructure.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to build and configure Kubernetes and CI/CD development environments.
• Install and configure software applications such as GitLab, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Generate the SecDevOps asset inventory and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage access control program, including regular communication of policies, user approvals, and system onboarding/off-boarding.
• Monitor system logs and maintain list of system and application administrators.
• Ensure project team members attend required Leidos annual security training.
• Maintain a Roles Matrix and record of role-based training and certifications by project personnel.
• Audit system logs and AWS console/API actions using Splunk and AWS CloudTrail.
• Generate the ITAM BPE Asset Inventory and maintain SecDevOps plugins and parameter files under configuration management.
• Keep deployed SecDevOps up to date and manage changes through established processes with corporate information technology departments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field OR currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• US Citizen and ability to obtain ADPII/IT-2 clearance.
• Exposure to Atlassian Product suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
• Understanding of SecDevOps and CI/CD practices and tools.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Kubernetes.
• Ability to manage access control program and maintain configuration management.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently, managing tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.
• Existing ADPII/IT2 or higher clearance – nice to have/desired.
