Description

Leidos' Corporate Government Compliance team has an immediate career opportunity for an Analyst. The ideal candidate will be an individual contributor who is technologically savvy and adept at data mining, research, and analysis. An ideal candidate will have familiarity with FAR Part 31 as well as Cost Accounting Standard (CAS) 405.


The candidate may support Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audits, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) cost monitoring and audits as required. Exceptional attention to detail, problem solving skills, persistence, and communication are required. This is a rare opportunity to gain exposure to multiple functional areas and in-depth insights into corporate financial structure and regulatory matters. The selected candidate will play a critical role in supporting Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) compliance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and submit audit determinations, with an emphasis in unallowable costs (FAR Part 31)
  • Work cross functionally to communicate audit findings professionally and timely to transaction owners
  • Maintain a high level of organization
  • Examine and analyze expense transactions (P-card transactions, expense reports, consultants, airfare, etc) to evaluate compliance with Leidos policy, FAR and/or CAS
  • Gather documentation, develop and execute financial queries, and analyze data in response to DCMA/DCAA inquiries and self-audits; resolve discrepancies as they arise
  • Clearly and accurately document the execution of specific audit findings
  • Ability to independently research and resolve discrepancies as they arise
  • Depending on needs of the team, support the Service Center Monthly Variance Report and planning processes
  • Other duties, as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related major is required, coupled with 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including, at a minimum, pivots, vlookups, sumif, and concatenate functions
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, FAR, DFARS and CAS
  • Working knowledge of Government Contracting
  • Able to work as part of a team and effectively interact with colleagues and Company employees across all functions and levels
  • Adept at reviewing supporting documentation to make an independent assessment of compliance
  • Able to handle multiple tasks concurrently and successfully to completion to deliver them on time
  • Well-developed analytical and research abilities
  • Strong and effective communication and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented with strong documentation skills
  • Self-starter with ability to excel in fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Historical knowledge of Leidos systems, policies and procedures
  • PowerBI and dashboard development experience

Please note the actual salary will be closer to the midpoint of the pay range.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $49,400.00 - $89,300.00
