Description

The Digital Modernization Sector has an opening for a Mainframe Systems analyst to support a large healthcare contract.

Mainframe systems production control specialist to support a mainframe environment for government agency, with expertise in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on a large multi-agency health care claims processing environment.

Daily operational tasks include:

Support Medicare health claims processing activities in shared mainframe environment

  • Perform moderate system design and architecture with regard to scheduling events across various platforms
  • Gather information from various mainframe systems to identify and address health claims processing issues
  • Monitor and communicate on pass events across the many areas/platforms in the CMS Enterprise
  • Provides Scheduling Guidance to other Sr. Production Control Schedulers with regards to UNIX and Mainframe scheduling tasks via technical knowledge of TWS, TDWC (Tivoli AutomationTools), Mainframe and UNIX environments
  • Performs in a Production Support role setting up job schedules and job automation using TWS (Tivoli Workload Scheduler), TDWC (Tivoli Dynamic Workload Scheduler), UNIX Scripts, and other programming languages (REXX and SAS).
  • Monitors and controls job processing flows using scheduling tools (TWS and TDWC) in the z/OS, z/Linux, and UNIX environments
  • Review mainframe batch jobs and claims processing for errors and help coordinate any corrections and necessary re-runs
  • Review various mainframe support tickets and work with vendors, senior technical resources, and potential customers to resolve issues
  • Potential ability to work second and third (overnight) shift work supporting batch processing and monitoring

Qualifactions:

  • BS Degree and 4 years of experience. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 4+ years monitoring and supporting mainframe health claims processing for the federal government sector
  • Experience analyzing government mainframe systems
  • Must be proficient with TSO/ISPF Editor, IBM Utilities
  • Must know and be able to proficiently use TWS (Tivoli Workload Scheduler) and TDWC (Tivoli Dynamic Workload Console) automation tools
  • Experience monitoring and accessing claims jobs managing z/OS and z/VM environments
  • Able to utilize Incident ticket system to open, resolve, close tickets and Service Requests
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to use strong industry knowledge to relate to customer needs and dissolve customer concerns and a high level of focus and attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic with good time management with the ability to work with diverse teams and lead meetings
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills

All candidates supporting the CMS programs must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years prior in order to be considered.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
