The Leidos Digital Modernization sector is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer in support of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

The ISSO will have a proven track record in providing holistic solutions for our customers. Candidate should have at least 4+ years Systems Engineering, including software installation and integration experience, server and workstation hardening, via DISA STIGs, ACAS experience detecting vulnerabilities and coordination of patching with customers and the team. Selected candidate will be assisting a small team of Systems Engineers supporting our customers’ requirements and running Production and Development systems. Candidate should possess some experience administering Linux and Windows operating systems and virtualization technologies (ex: VMWare). Candidate will be responsible for the management and enforcement of all security policies and processes related to the systems.

The seceted candidate will work with a team of system engineers as well as a number of agency Information Assurance engineers. Should be able to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, to supporting agency cybersecurity teams as well as the team itself, including the government representative. There will be daily interaction with the team, customers and our Government representatives.

The Challenge:

  • Perform, analyze and coordinate team response on vulnerability scans.

  • Perform, analyze and coordinate team responses on STIG checklists, as well as create POAMs based on results.

  • Update on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis (annual security review as well as Authority to Operate (ATO) EMASS controls.

  • Create and modify documentation related to security processes.

  • Implement, update and deploy SCCM software components.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience additional years of related work experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.

  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance required.

  • Current, unexpired, Comptia Security+CE (or equivalent) – will be verified before hiring.

  • Experience with SCCM and ACAS.

  • Experience with security documentation (including POAMs and STIG checklists).

You Might Also Have:

  • Experience with ESS.

  • Windows Server administration.

  • Experience using JIRA for ticket and project tracking.

  • Hands-on experience with software approval process, including COTS and GOTS products.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
