Shop Floor Planning Supervisor:

The Shop Floor Planning Supervisor is to execute and maintain production schedules to achieve optimum throughput and to recommend adjustments regarding production progression, labor and material. This position is responsible for overseeing the Shop Floor Planning team.

What Will You Do?

  • Determine, coordinate and maintain production schedules to effectively maximize the use of available capacities, recognizing production constraints and working towards helping eliminate them.
  • Validate the system generated production schedules, resolve conflicts and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Maintain all assigned planning area schedules to meet final assembly requirements as scheduled.
  • Monitor production performance versus the production plan and recommend changes to improve utilization.
  • Establish and maintain optimal replenishment procedures, comparing performance against delivery and inventory goals.
  • Help maintain inventory control and physical inventory accountability.
  • Coordinate and manage the work of employees by directing members of the team to meet the area’s goals.
  • Manage employee performance and assist employees in making improvements to their performance through coaching, mentoring and administering performance reviews.
  • Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.


What Do You Need?

• 3 years’ experience in manufacturing or materials management, Required

• Capacity Planning and Production Flow

• Supply chain and inventory control Document management systems

• Handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints

• Working knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement and Lean Manufacturing
