The Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission support program provides operations, facilities, and maintenance support for the Navy with locations in Florida and the Bahamas. Come join the team that’s supporting America’s Navy!


Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Worker in Andros Island, Bahamas to work as part of a close knit team, as well as independently, to accomplish a range of functions as you support AUTEC. As a member of the team you will:

  • Perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings in such trades as painting carpentry plumbing masonry and electrical work.
  • Replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
  • Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
  • Paint structures and equipment.
  • Repair or replace concrete floors steps and sidewalks.
  • Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles.
  • Hang doors and install door locks.
  • Replace broken window panes.
  • Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must currently work on existing AUTEC contract in order to be eligible for this position.
  • Must be a U.S citizen.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S government security clearance.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two (2) years of directly related job related experience.
  • A valid US Passport and Driver’s License is required.
  • Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Secret security clearance preferred.
