Job Summary

SURETY:

This position is designated as a chemical duty position and is subject to the requirements of the Chemical Personnel Reliability Program. As a condition of employment, candidates and incumbents must favorably complete a personnel security investigation, urinalysis testing, medical exam and respiratory screening, and must meet and maintain personnel suitability and reliability requirements established by Army Regulation 50-6.

  • Require routine access to chemical surety materials.
  • Are authorized to escort visitors to areas containing chemical surety materials.
  • Are operators of equipment that disassembles chemical munitions/containers or handle chemical surety materials during demilitarization operations.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / TASKS:

· Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.

· Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.

· Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record.

· Verify the installation conduit, cable trays, raceways, wiring and other associated electrical equipment in support of plant configuration.

· Follow predetermined checklist in the performance of preventative maintenance of facility equipment and systems.

· Maintain accountability of property, including tools and maintenance equipment.

· Understand and utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, measurement and test equipment (M&TE) in the performance of duties.

· Develop technical solutions to maintenance related problems; minimizing cost and schedule impact. Requires communication of technical information to management, peers and subordinates so safe and environmentally sound operations are not compromised.

· Proficient in CMMS for job related applications.

· Assure code and building standards are met.

· When assigned to the SDC, may perform munitions handling and or transport duties through use of forklift, list assist devices or via electric utility vehicles.

Compensation & Benefits:

STARTING RATE: $32.61 (This position is part of a certification pay program, which provides additional pay increases as necessary training and certifications are completed. On average, a minimum of two pay increases would be obtained within the first six months of employment.)

This position includes participation in the PCAPP Employee Retention Incentive Benefit Plan, which provides a financial incentive encouraging personnel to remain employed by Amentum at the PCAPP project through a specified timeframe provided qualifiers are met.


Minimum Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma/equivalent and 6 years industrial maintenance experience.
Or, Completion of formal apprenticeship or similar accredited training program (such as vocational, trade, commercial or military) in the electrical/electronic field or journeyman certification and demonstrated proficiency in the electrical/electronic field.

  • Must be a US Citizen or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain PCAPP site access.
  • Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, varying hours and/or rotating shifts.
  • Must be willing and able to work in an industrial environment that is in close proximity to and/or in a chemical demilitarization facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have thorough understanding of electrical equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Must be able to use common electrical hand tools such as screw drivers, pliers, strippers, knives, drill motors, and test equipment.
  • Must have experience working with high voltage (480v-13.2kv).
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts and specifications in performing duties to ensure system integrity is maintained.
  • Experience with electrical safety equipment and PPE.
  • Experience in performing corrective and preventative maintenance of facility electrical systems, equipment and components such as generators, switchgear, transformers, programmable logic controller, motors, HVAC units, control and power circuits.

  • Experience working in a toxic/hazardous materials environment
  • Journeyman electrician license
