Carpenter
Purpose and Scope:
The Carpenter performs carpentry duties to maintain building woodwork and associated equipment in good repair.
Essential Responsibilities:
Carry out preventive and needs-oriented carpentry work.
Perform carpentry to repair, install and replace buildings and structures and related components.
Manufacture, installation and repair of items such as wooden doors, floors, walls, ceilings, exterior structures, windows, cabinets, shelves, railings, cabinets, transport boxes, pallets, stages, pin boards and other hardware related to buildings and structures.
Installing, removing, repairing, and replacing wooden components, including but not limited to roof trusses, wall stands, beams and moldings. This work includes the manufacture, repair and replacement of broken or cracked parts and components.
Installing, removing, repairing, and replacing glass and mirror elements, including but not limited to doors, windows, walls, and cabinets. This work includes the manufacture, repair, and replacement of broken or cracked parts and components.
Plan and lay out work based on blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions.
Must be able to communicate effectively and deal with customers and employees in a professional manner.
Responsible for maintaining work order documents, time sheets, ownership records, HAZMAT inventories, and securely guarding government and proprietary equipment/tools.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification or license in field preferred.
Proven professional experience as a carpenter.
Knowledge of applicable safety procedures, regulations, and guidelines.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs with or without accommodation. Must utilize all proper lifting procedures and practices.
Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Must be able to work at heights.
Must be able to climb in and out of vehicles of various sizes and heights.
Must be able to work under pressure and strenuous conditions. Must be able to meet short suspense dates.
Must be able to conduct work in the out-of-doors area with potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions (i.e., extreme temperatures, high humidity, rain and blowing dust). Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of stooping; climbing; standing; and sitting for long periods of uninterrupted time.
The preferred candidate would have a valid work & residency permit to work in Germany, or be a national of the European Union / European Economic Area.
