Electrician - Maintenance

Job Summary

Amentum is looking for Electrician-Maintenance to join our team in McLean, VA. You will inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, maintain, and make necessary tests on all electrical systems and equipment 600v or less throughout the facilities. Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Hours: Tuesday - Friday 1:30PM - 12:00AM (4X 10's)

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work from prints, diagrams, specification, and instructions covering emergency and scheduled repairs; as well as demolition, installation, testing, and inspection of work to be done on electrical systems
• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, or replacement of electrical equipment on AC and/or DC systems
• Analyze, troubleshoot, modify, install, and repair electrical equipment and circuits using prints, diagrams, and test instruments
• Test, inspect, clean, repair, dismantle, adjust, replace, assemble, maintain and lubricate all manual or automatic AC and DC systems, electrical equipment, transformers, switchgear, control panels, regulators, and various other electrical apparatus
• Prepare and maintain records and reports on electrical systems equipment, as required for maintenance programs on the basis of all information obtained through tests
• Install conduit, wiring and electrical apparatus
• Read blueprints and generate bill of materials
• Maintain part and tool inventories
• Directs other repair personnel, as assigned
• Perform other job related duties, as assigned

• Four (4) years maintenance and/or construction experience in the electrical trade required
• Journeyman Electrical License
• High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required
• Thorough working knowledge of national and local electrical codes
• Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions
• A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights, as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays, as required
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance

• Master Electrical License
• Have an active TS/SCI security clearance
• Ability to write correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
