RF Hardware Engineer
Job Summary
Amentum is actively seeking an RF Hardware Engineer to join our team providing technical and engineering support in Dahlgren, VA. This position will support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) for advanced transmittter systems support.
The RF Hardware Engineer will be responsible for the quality and timely delivery of technical deliverables to the government customers. This candidate will perform a variety of engineering functions to perform engineering and technical support that includes; Requirements Development, Systems Engineering, RF transmitter troubleshooting and maintenance, Testing and Evaluation, and ..... These services shall be provided in support of existing, near term, and out-year projects, programs, technology developments, technology demonstrations and related acquisition efforts. Candidate will have direct customer daily interface and communication. Occasional CONUS and OCONUS travel possible.
On the job training and mentorship will be provided.
Minimum Requirements
* A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Electrical Engineering, Electronic
Engineering, or Physics.
* Five (5) years of RF transmitter design, troubleshooting,repair, defining/designing corrective measures.
Preferred Qualifications
* Six (6) years of general experience in RF engineering;
* Experience in instrumentation systems required to conduct EMC/EMV/HERO testing;
* Two (2) year of experience in the following areas: Preparing technical documents, which include test plans / reports, analytical evaluations, and presentations; knowledge in antenna system verification testing; application of military standards, handbooks, and specifications; MIL-HDBK-235, MIL-HDBK-240, DOD-STD-1399 Section 070,
NAVSEA OP3565 and MIL-STD-461/464 Standards.
