Job Summary

Amentum is hiring a Software Engineer / Programmer to support our DoD customer. The selected candidate will support and continue development of several key customer tools. The different tools revolve around Training Management, Task Planning, and Inventory.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform customer requirement analysis for existing or proposed systems to determine feasibility and objectives of requests.
  • Create innovative solutions the continued development of the customer tools
  • Transition tool(s) to from MS Access to Power Apps via MS Teams
  • Transition from Sharepoint to Flankspeed
  • Create separate function for duplicate pieces of code in MATLAB projects
  • Use your expertise to solve algorithm performance issues with multiple test steps
  • Provide input and solutions to quality of life updates to inventory tool and ensure parts list is accurate
  • Design or modify system and prepares reports, schedules, data requirements, security access rules and system constraints.
  • Write, debug and tests programs and procedures.
  • Install systems and trains customer to use new or changed applications.
  • Study existing information systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new systems where appropriate.
  • Direct on-site customer interface for program guidance, testing, systems analysis, and other system related tasks as needed.
  • Prepare detailed documented requirements for selected activities (i.e., data management, configuration management, program management, etc.)
  • Comply with hardware and software systems standards and procedures.
  • Direct, provide guidance, and monitor the performance of less experienced analyst/programmers.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 1 year of experience, or equivalent
  • SQL Server or similar (Oracle, MySQL)
  • Java
  • Programming/scripting experience in C, C++ or C#
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
