Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for provision of high level analytical evaluation and maintenance of data integrity related to all critical and non-critical assets at Amentum. This role delivers accurate information related to asset life cycle conditions, maintenance, and regulatory requirements necessary to optimize asset operational resiliency, reliability, efficiency and capability; and is a key contributor to the development of an integrated and Site wide asset management culture.

The Reliability Engineer works closely with the Asset Analyst and Asset Manager to develop and distribute reports and metrics delivering information on asset conditions, downtime, costs, recapitalization projects and the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the systems, processes and projects which form the asset management system.

• Perform technical studies, analyses, investigations and consultations
• Identify, define and develop detailed requirements for facility infrastructure, equipment and system modification, replacement, upgrade and/or recapitalization
• Lead reliability and maintenance data collection, capture and analysis
• Review and provide technical advice on proposed changes to facility infrastructure and systems, from general concepts through to detailed IFC designs.
• Lead facility asset failure investigations and RCA activities
• Provide technical recommendations, input, direction and advice on facilities system, infrastructure and equipment reliability, operation, maintenance, life-cycle management and costing.
• Lead and coordinate maintenance strategy development and review
• Evaluate operational systems, equipment, processes and infrastructure in support of general and targeted optimization and improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with all site environmental health and safety requirements
• Any other reasonable duties as requested

• Undergraduate Degree Field: Engineering or other relevant or related discipline

• Post Graduate Qualifications Field: Any relevant or related discipline
• PE/CPEng certification
