Are you an experienced design professional with experience leading the design and format for Federal proposals, including responses to FEDSIM solicitations? If so, Deloitte's Government and Public Services (GPS) Pursuit Center of Excellence (PCOE) team is the place for you! Join our team of professionals in delivering strategic and tactical visual guidance to senior leadership in support of complex proposal development efforts.

Work you'll do:

  • As a Primary (FEDSIM) Designer on our team, you will provide guidance in the development and design of proposals, presentations, and related business development materials by:
  • Serving as a strategic advisor on art direction and overarching design themes using proposal design building blocks: cover, callouts, iconography, infographics, photography, and language
  • Working directly with pursuit teams to develop a proposal that visually communicates win themes and key messages within RFP specifications and to FEDSIM-specific requirements.
  • Interfacing and brainstorming with senior leaders regarding the visual display of information, understanding the substance of business issues being communicated, and providing visual solutions that enhance/clarify audience understanding
  • Conceiving and producing a full range of high-impact print and digital collateral to enhance readability, draw the reader into the content, and differentiate Deloitte in the marketplace
  • Ensuring that proposal documents/graphics adhere to RFP requirements, FEDSIM standards, and Deloitte quality and brand standards
  • Adjudicating/mitigating conflicts in design content, ensuring accuracy and quality of complete deliverable (individual graphics, formatting, etc.), and managing/coordinating support designers
  • Exercising judgment and project management skills to balance priorities and keep internal clients informed of projects and progress; working quickly and efficiently to meet project milestones/deadlines on a tight schedule
  • Ability to flex working schedule, as needed
  • Undertaking prescribed and independent training, on-the-job learning assignments, and participating in design initiatives that promote growth and advancement for self and the GPS Design Team

Qualifications

Required
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's degree or related experience with preferred concentration in Marketing, Communications, Art, Business or comparable work experience
  • Demonstrate ability to think creatively, express ideas orally and in writing, and have excellent listening and decision-making skills
  • Advanced experience in MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel; Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and the ability to produce large volumes of work consistently and accurately
  • Ability to create elegant, designed "feel" in programs such as PPT and Word that were not written primarily as design vehicles
  • Manage and customize document formatting using templates
  • Proven skills and educational training in typography, layout, composition, color theory, and information design
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to manage own time and take initiative
  • Professional client service manner and ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Speed and agility; ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, developing creative design with last minute requirements non-negotiable deadlines
  • Comfortable embedding with client service teams in 'war room' environments to develop and design materials in real-time
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and synthesize direction from many individuals
  • Manage Digital delivery and print production
  • Travel required - approximately 10-20% per year, as dictated by pursuit demands
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred :
  • Eight (8) years of relevant work experience
  • TS/SCI Clearance or ability to clear (Note: If TS/SCI Clearance, must live in the Washington DC area)
