Human Resources Specialist

Amentum is currently recruiting for a Human Resource Specialist to join our team at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA to support our Department of the Army, G-3/5/7 Operations Readiness and Mobilization Support contract.

Duties include:

  • Research and prepare position requirements descriptions.

  • Schedule and prepare interview packets.

  • In-process and out-process employees using a checklist.

  • Access standard Government automated systems such as Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS), Automated Nature of Action (AutoNOA), Fully Automated System for Classification (FASCLASS), Automated Time and Attendance Production System (ATAAPS), and Financial Disclosure Management (FDM).

  • Coordinate with supported unit Human Resources (HR)/Administrative personnel.

  • Review and finalize incentive awards.

  • Draft HR and/or administrative policies.

  • Record and track mandatory training.

  • Monitor and track telework agreements and training.

  • Update and maintain Organization SharePoint sites and bulletin boards.

  • Effectively handle customer inquiries via telephone and email.

  • Conduct effective briefings on HR topics to organization leadership.

  • Review documents for completeness and accuracy, identify and resolve discrepancies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience required.

  • Four (4) years of DoD Human Resource/Personnel Actions management experience required.

  • Must Possess Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility

  • Requires effective computer skills to perform above duties in various software and/or spreadsheet operations such as MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

  • Must be customer service-oriented and general knowledge of the processing of DoD personnel related actions.

  • Strong oral communication skills both verbal and written, must be team player, dependable and possess a professional attitude and demeanor.

  • Experience with one or more of DCPDS, AutoNOA, FASCLASS, FDM, TED systems.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Time management skills, ability to interact with all personalities, and demonstrated problem solving skills are strongly desired.

  • Mission oriented and requires minimal supervision in the fast paced, critical environment of the Army Headquarters.
