Industrial Hygienist
Job Summary
Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) is seeking an Industrial Hygienist (IH). This individual, while working independently, performs program implementation and strategic planning using a graded approach. Directs the preparation and maintenance of safety & health programs, standards, procedures and policies to support the safe and healthy work environment at the Tank Operations Contract. Serves as the central point of contact for multiple IH programs, assists with IH professional employee development, and advises the IH Program Manager and Safety & Health Manager on strategic program alignment and implementation efforts relating to DOE standards, OSHA, NIOSH, AIHA, and other industry best practices. Contributes to development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered expert in field within the organization.
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS degree in Industrial Hygiene or related scientific discipline (such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience. A minimum of 10 years experience in Industrial Hygiene, Safety or an engineering or scientific discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree is preferred. Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred.
