Job Summary
Job Responsibilities/Duties
Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) is seeking Industrial Hygienists (IH). These individuals will be responsible for providing clientele consultation and advice in anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of occupational health hazards, as well as technical and regulatory support on occupational health issues. Provides support for ensuring industrial hygiene compliance in accordance with all applicable government and industry standards, rules, and regulations pertaining to physical, chemical, and biological hazards. Develop, prepare, review, and/or approve work packages and, technical basis documents. Participates in process hazards analysis (PHA) reviews and Chemical ALARA reviews.
Limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts. Limited knowledge of project practices and standards.
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS degree in Industrial Hygiene or related scientific discipline (such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics). A minimum of 2 years experience in Industrial Hygiene, Safety or an engineering or scientific discipline or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed to facilitate project milestones. Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate to peers and management. Must take prompt action to accomplish assigned objectives and understand/identify issues and opportunities.
Advanced degree is preferred.
Safety or Health certification preferred (OHST, CHST, CSP, ASP, etc.)
