Job Summary

Job Summary:
The Insurance & Risk Manager will support the Director and Senior Director of Insurance and Risk Management in managing the organization’s comprehensive insurance and risk management program, collecting organizational exposure information, and assessing and identifying risks that could impede the reputation, safety, security, or financial success of the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Conducts risk assessments, collecting and analyzing documentation, statistics, reports, and market trends.
• Supports specialty claims management.
• Recommends policies and procedures to identify and address risks in the organization’s services and departments.
• Reviews and assesses risk management policies and protocols; makes recommendations and implements modifications and improvements.
• Recommends and implements risk management solutions such as insurance, safety and security policies, business continuity plans, or recovery measures.
• Collects, reviews, and analyzes metrics and data such as exposure, loss, and claims data.
• Drafts and presents risk reports and proposals to executive leadership and senior staff.
• Performs other duties as directed.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or related field. 5 years’ insurance and risk management or other related experience required. 2 years experience may be substituted for each year of college in lieu of the degree requirement. Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
